Cheers! ¡Salud! Bon Apétit! — Regardless of where you are in the world, there’s a toast or saying exclaimed before a meal or drink with friends and family. MILA captures the spirit of celebrating bringing people together around delicious food with international flavours.
A new premium-casual restaurant in the heart of Vancouver’s historic Chinatown, MILA embraces global inspiration, tireless innovation, and the steadfast belief that enduring memories begin over a shared meal.
So, what can you expect to see on the menu? Something we’re really excited to introduce is our plant-based sushi options, including our signature MILA roll and Aburi Lox Oshi – already a staff and guest favourite.
Rich, savoury, and bursting with flavour, our Wild Mushroom Toast is another one to write home about. Featuring local BC mushrooms, house-made whipped cashew ricotta, demi-glace, truffle and micro herbs, it’s not your average toast.
The menu will also include veganized comfort classics like the Mushroom + Sausage Tagliatelle, Fish + Chips, and a signature MILA Smash Burger, plus a variety of salads including a classic Caesar and house MILA Salad.
And did we mention dessert? So far, the Peanut Butter Cup Pie has been stealing the hearts (and stomachs) of all those who’ve tried it. Made with puffed crisps, chocolate ganache, and Maldon, it’s safe to say it’s the MVD (most valuable dessert, obviously).
We’re also excited to introduce a carefully curated cocktail and bar menu, with bold originals like our Smokey MILA Sour and The Forbidden Root, plus an extensive beer, cider, and wine list.
Of course, opening a restaurant in the midst of a pandemic comes with its challenges, and the team has worked tirelessly to adapt and overcome these.
“COVID has taught me that the most important aspect of running a kitchen is keeping our team and our guests safe,” says Head Chef, Breanne Smart. “Sometimes that means slowing things down to ensure everyone is protected.”
